After 3 months of applying, I finally secured a job offer as a data analyst at a multinational telco company in my country. I could breathe a sigh of relief finally. Tomorrow will be my last day at my current office, and I will have a call to confirm the offer. What a weird coincidence indeed.
I have been hunting jobs tirelessly in the past 3 months. However in the past 2 years I have been learning data science and BI tools, and it has been rewarding. I got overwhelmed with job opportunities actually. Even better: I applied overseas jobs (read: Europe) and some of them followed up my application. So far, I got a follow up from companies based in Malta (1), Cyprus (1), Germany (2), Switzerland (1), Estonia (1). Switzerland was unexpected because I read that it is super hard for a non-EU citizen to secure a work permit in Switzerland.
Even though I secured a work offer from this company, to be honest, what I really wish is to get a work offer in Europe. My plan is, to apply jobs in Europe within the next 4 months before my probation period ends.
