Extract to your saves directory on your RetroArch install/folder or RetroPie and have fun!
This file pretty much unlocks the bosses you fight before the final boss, who himself isn't playable since...well, if you haven't played the game, I wouldn't want to spoil you now, would I? It also unlocks alternate costumes which you can select by pushing either Start and Select, apparently.
