I have a problem with a yokai watch English translation mod

I know that similar problems have been discussed before, and I have read quite a few threads, but I still didn't figure out a solution to my problem. Basically, the mod doesn't work and the game is still in Japanese. I've heard about an override_config.ini that has to be in the atmosphere/config folder, sth I didn't have before, but even when I got that override_config.ini file the mod still didn't work. Then I heard out about sth called LayeredFS, but when I searched about it only the 3ds luma version appeared. Can anyone help?

That's not true. It's not required for mods to work.

Can't you just ask in mod's thread instead of doing separate thread? This way author of this mod will be much easier notified about your problem.

I already did so. I was invited to their discord server and we talked about my issue. They couldn't solve my problem
