PS4 version 7.55 gets Mira custom firmware and jailbreak update

ps4.PNG

The PS4 homebrew scene can enjoy not one but two new releases thanks to a team of modders including sleirsgoevy and AlAzif. Released at the same time are the Mira custom firmware compatible with PS4s on firmware 7.55 and an updated jailbreak also for PS4s on version 7.55. The exploit and payloads are also compatible with versions 7.50 and 7.51.

However, they are still early releases with the exploit reportedly taking several tries before successfully running it. But you can expect some fixes in the days to come.

Think I may finally get CFW on my PS4 since I haven't updated mine since 7.55. Not like I'm using it for much anyway. Might as well get the extra bit of functionality out of it.

I can get on the browser but, every time I run it, I get "There is not enough free system memory"....
These ps4 exploits tend to be very unstable upon first release. That's a very common error message. It doesn't necessarily mean that there is any thing wrong with your setup. You may just have to try many times in a row before it works.

After tons of times, It ran... I tried to eject the payload when it requested it... it rebooted, did nothing....

Tried to do this 3-4 times, no luck.

So far no go... games on my HD wont run now...

My Spidey ps4 pro is on 7.51 and i play all the latest ps4 games on my ps5.
Well enjoyed my 5.05 ps4 pro which I am never gonna upgrade as the stability of the hack is awesome, mostly all games are backported.

I would still chalk this up to instability. It will get honed over time and eventually be fairly stable.
It is expected that your games would not run if they are backups and your system is not in a hacked state. Don't worry though, this new exploit should get better and better over the coming weeks.

download the 7.55 update from dark sternie's site, then install from the recovery menu.

Should we use "official firmware" or "recovery firmware"? Also, these updates are region agnostic right, the same download will work for NTSC, NTSC-J, etc.?

Hey guys, I'm on 7.55 with mira exploit. My ps4 downloaded a system update a few months back, it's super annoying. But when I tried to delete it with PS4 Xplorer, after opening the update folder, it's empty ! The update is not there. But every time I turn on the console or play a game, it try to install the update .... Any idea where the update.pup is hidden ?

I can't say if this will work, but try deleting it from notifications section. it may only work while downloading the update, but it may be worth a try if you can delete a completed update.

What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted

Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
