Nope.

You can activate to get features like copy to and from USB. But it won’t fix a ban if you ever updated.

Just a question here. Normally, exploited ps4 game save that exported using exploit cannot be imported to a vanilla (not hacked) ps4. Otherwise if game back up have original keystone, it will work on a vanilla ps4. Right?

My question is... if we use this tutorial for offline activation (using a specific user ID) on a hackable ps4, will the game save (of a game backup without keystone) exported using the official "backup game save to usb" work on a vanilla ps4 which is logged in to the same user ID that was used to activate the exploited ps4?

I've never tried this, but I've heard that saves that were imported using save mounter even work on the ps5, so it should work, but I don't know the process to get it on the other system.

For backing up saves on a jailbroken local account do you have to delete trophies or do anything else special when activating? I forget where but I read in a few places that if you psn activate a local account that you have mainly been using it may corrupt your account. Is that true?

you don't have to do anything with trophies. there's a separate payload for backing those up, but I don't know if it's possible to change trophies to another account like you can with saves. when I rid myself of a banned account, I salvaged all saves (all work as I tested them), but I lost all trophies (didn't even bother seeing it it was possible to back these up to a new account, which I don't think it is).

Thanks for the quick response. Essentially my goal is to transfer my Final Fantasy VII remake save from my jailbroken local account to my non-jailbroken secondary ps4. Don’t care about trophies. I just remember reading that if you don’t delete them then it may corrupt your account/ saves when activating.

Since that’s not the case I have my answer and will actually try psn activating that account. Thanks!

yeah, I've never heard that before. it didn't happen to me, but it being a new account, I no longer had any trophies.

I've had my system a long time. it was bought to exploit or anything, so the first activation was done officially. this was way before 5.05.
