Hello,
I've just released the new version of Open Shop Channel Downloader. This new version improves the process for sending to Wii and adds app icons to the applications list, so that you can more easily spot apps.
For those who don't know, OSCDL is an open source desktop utility from the Open Shop Channel to obtain and send homebrew to your Wii over the internet.

Here is a screenshot:

The new release and the full changelog is available here: https://github.com/dhtdht020/osc-dl/releases/tag/1.3.0.
An installer and a binary is available for Windows, but Linux and macOS are also supported.

Main thread (Incorrectly labeled as hardware because I posted it on the wrong forum): https://gbatemp.net/threads/oscdl-d...open-shop-channel-and-send-to-the-wii.577508/

Have a good day!

Wow this looks great! I take it you just put the Wii's IP address and it transfers apps/homebrew over? Is there wad support or just the regular app files?
How is the library maintained, does it contain even legacy/old homebrew or just new releases?
Keep up the good work!

Thank you! It uses WiiLoad to send the app to a Wii with the homebrew channel running. You just type the IP when prompted and it sends it over to the Homebrew Channel, and the Homebrew Channel takes care of extracting to the SD card.

The library is actively maintained, but I don't think it has a whole lot of legacy homebrew, primarily focused on ones in common use or still actively maintained. You can go through it at https://oscwii.org/library.

.. And can you install your own files (of homebrew apps) without relying on the stuff on the library, if something wasn't there?
I'll try it out, when i can!

Did not consider that, so not through the tool right now, but the regular WiiLoad software would be able to do that.
