Alright, so I connected the USB cable to my PSP and it sits on please wait forever. I tried taking the battery out and wait for about 15 minutes and turn it back on, still the same. So then I was like, let's do the Memory Stick in the card reader, but no. Nothing happens on both my PC and the laptop. It's a Sandisk M2 4GB that sits in a Sony M2 Duo Adapter. It works fine with the PSP itself. I deleted some save data that was still on there. And for whatever reason there was some homebrew on there that didn't even work, because it isn't even hacked lol. Got the PSP from someone a year ago and finally decided to take a look at it.
The PSP is a 2000 with firmware 6.00 and Date Code 7D.

So the question is: Why is the Memory Stick isn't even recognized by PCs?
Thanks in advance.

I'd say reformat the mem stick. And for good measure the psp itself. But do try the mem stick first.

I noticed the SM64 homebrew comes in a normal variant and in a bilinear filtering variant. I thought it would be nice to add this filter to retail games on PSP ( because on Vita they already look better due to improved screen ) . But i guess PSP does not have the power to handle this, especially for large games .

PSP games actually look better on PSP 3000. It uses native resolution and looks sharper and cleaner. Vita 1000 only has OLED and colors are good, although very saturated and you cant change black level on vita, so some games look really dark without ability to really controll black level, and brightness doesnt help.

PSP 3000 is imo best for PSP and PSX games. I played on vita, but i always find PSP looking better, although smaller screen.

As for filter, you mean like scanlines? I guess there is some, ill try to find something idk.

Got my hands on a PSP FAT. I Checked system settings and found this: 6.60 Pro B10
What are my following actions? Update? I never had any experience with Sony consoles. What this little thing is capable of? Thank you for all the help=)

Not sure I'll get a response here but I just got a new/unused PSP (2009 era, kingdom hearts edition from Japan) and it's on the 6.10 OFW. I'm notice different CFWs being mentioned around here and I was wondering what the best option is for mine? I'd like to have the permanent one where once I install it, it's done (without needing to re-run it after every reboot).

Any suggestions on which guide to use for that would be greatly appreciated!

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.

I live maybe 3 minutes from a Dairy Queen, so I would just go there for ice cream anything anyways. I usually get the Oreo Blizzard, or a Peanut Buster Parfait.
