  • Any of y'all play War Thunder? I've been sinking an unhealthy amount into it rather than playing actual games that I've wanted to beat T-T

It's a good game, but a time sink and definitely a money hole for those who can't take the grind.
Hmm, is it possible to play a game to just pass time? Not having the time to really enjoy a game, but also nothing to do for the hour or so.

i mean i do it sometimes because if i don't do something i'll go even more crazy than i already am, but i usually get extremely bored and just end up having a bad "session"

Agreed, I'll end up just playing a game of Siege or something, or play something that I've played a ton before, and it's not like it's not enjoyable, but I don't get the same satisfaction since I want to try something new.

I use timekiller games for those, like puzzle games and hidden objects.

You ever just build a snowman? And it actually turns out pretty okay
Finally back from vacation, been two weeks so haven't been able to do much online, though that's probably for the best? To live a little?

Up late, worked later, come home and just sit for a bit; but is that enough? Shouldn't I be trying to enjoy myself?

Missing my Great Dane, lost him last summer while away on vacation and...it just feels empty without him. Rest in piece Dante.
Have you ever just, randomly had a tear well up in the corner of your eye. You don't know why, but it just seems sad at that moment?

I usually think of it as just something biological, and your brain is trained to think tears means sadness. I could be wrong though, don't wanna spoil the poetry eh? ;)
Thinking: If there is another life after this one, what is it like, and will it require giving up all my memories, the sweet...and the sour.

i can agree its interesting to think about, but nobody really knows enough about it (because those who do are beyond our reach) so i try not to distract myself thinking about it when theres never going to be an answer until its too late

Hey, it doesn't take much to get you through some trouble, as long as you can get that 'push' to get your past it. And into the next amazing point in your life, and it'll be exhilarating.

You'll get there buddy, it's less of an epiphany, and more of just finding happiness rather than pain or annoyance from having to do something. It's different for everyone, but the point still remains.
Your world. Is still your own, but you need to make an effort to exist rather than wallow in self pity or 'depression'.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
