Nintendo of America brought news to its official Twitter page today in which they will be releasing their highly anticipated Super Mario Hot Wheels later this month to retail stores. In celebration of Mario's 30th Anniversary, these six iconic Mattel toy cars each sport a theme from popular Mario games and spin-offs with a vibrant colourful design painted on various types of vehicles.
Siliconera said:
Of the six Super Mario Hot Wheels, the Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World cars have a 30th Anniversary logo in the upper right corner of their packaging. The other two, based on Doctor Mario and Mario Kart, have the Nintendo Seal of Quality instead. Each car has Mario painted on it, and they will be sold separately.

While a price for these toy cars have yet to be released, Mattel's famous Hot Wheels typically start at a price of $2.99 US for an individual car.

I like that Nintendo is promoting its brand in different ways, but these cars have nothing to do with Mario.

I wish they had actually released a gokart, or an airship akin to the star wars hot wheels x-wing.

I like that the cars embrace the art styles of different games, instead of trying to use a homogenized "modern" Mario look.

Now put this shit in some cereal boxes as free toys.

Great game. But I'd buy it straight up before paying for prime. Unless you order something everyday from amazon, not worth it imo
