Apple's weird "sideloading" app feature for EU residents

It says "side load apps from third party app stores" so to me that doesn't sound like real sideloading, because it still requires to use an app store.

I knew Apple would find a way to screw its customers from genuinely sideloading apps.

Sideloading to me means go on the browser, search for the app, download it, and install! That's it.

Typically Apple. The EU should have known Apple would try to work around their laws and prepared for it because that’s just what Apple does. Also annoyed this isn’t happening in the US ._.
