Tbh this was my fav title installer ever, especially because it supported split files (when that still was needed).
It was abandoned and stopped working at later firmwares and meanwhile Goldleaf and Tinfoil DZ filled the gap but I always loved the GUI of it.

However, this (Awoo Installer) looks good and is a more polite way of supporting NSZ compared to forking Goldleaf to do it.

There's too many good installers now and each has some benefits.

Awoo Installer:
  • UI
  • Sigpatches updater
  • NSZ support
  • Open Source
Goldleaf:
  • UI
  • Internet browser
  • Title/Ticket Management
  • best PC to Switch USB install with Quark (in my opinion)
  • Open Source
Tinfoil:
  • Google Drive support (really love that, especially with Tinson)
  • NSZ support
  • Themes support

I don't know if it's bad or cool to have that variety but at least there's something for each use case.
Agreed! same as me I used n1dus all the time, it was so stable and much better than any other installer I just wish someone would update that and bring it back I would never use any other installer if it did so simple to use but so affective.

Ogfoil has always supported split files btw.

*SX OS buyers are not supported.

Delete license.dat from your sd card.

claims no bullshit, yet here is bullshit. that'd be like if TX wasn't letting users use whatever installers they want on their system just because it wasn't made by them. don't take your hate for tx out on the general public/scene. nice software by the way, was getting a bit tired of using gold leaf and DZ tinfoil

This is great work: OG Tinfoil is the best one for me, so i like this is based on that.

I would like to ask you, please remove the SXOS stuff from the release. Even tho i have been using Kosmos for the last month, i still like to have access to SXOS. This only creates more shitshows, we have enough of that.

Everybody just goofs around too much. Homebrew apparently shouldn't be easy to make because it causes people to goof off.

Is trying to steal games and play them just a big game to everyone or some joke? People's livelihood depends on the easability of playing games they didn't pay for and when you guys make stuff like this it's just confusing.

some people are so pathologically unhinged that they spend the time making drm just to be punitive. get help!
Can't be that unhinged considering his 1-line DRM couldn't have taken more than 30 seconds to write. Just comment out that single line and it functions normally. Bit of a pain, but very doable.

So with this you can actually install NSPs through internet by just providing a link?
Yes. For now they must be direct links. I'd like to add Google Drive support in the future, that should only require saving some cookies and HTML parsing. Would hopefully be seamless.

:ph34r:Soo.. if i use this installer i can stay on 9.0 for many many months using the “ ignore firmware version” ?
Pretty much every installer has this option. Instead of yelling at you about the system version needing to be higher to use the title you're trying to install, it'll just do it anyway. The title may or may not actually work.

So would adding the link that Tinfoil uses for downloading games possible for this?

Awoo Installer can now install NSP or NSZ files from public Google Drive links! Just press Y on the LAN install page, select Google Drive, and input the file ID! This will be available in an upcoming 1.1.0 release (or on master right now, if you compile it yourself), along with a few other new features! You can check out some of the planned features here, and feel free to request your own ideas in this thread!

Not really a goal I have for the project right now. My aim is still for a "minimal" title installer that just works, not a full-blown piracy suite.

Probably $150 someone said Anbernic said around the same price as rg556
