my friend has a DSi that the fuse went on it so he opened it up and bridged the connection , it works fine but it seems that it now destroys flashcarts .. the first was an Acekard that worked fine for a long time but now won't read in any DS and now its an R4i something something that lasted about a week and now it won't read in anything either...

i have a DS light that i fuse fixed and its worked fine with my R4 card for 3 years .. seeking advice on what the cause might be or if it could be the fuse .. i'm trying to search and google more info..

thanks in advance for any help.

Can't really be much help really, I have a same problem with my DSLite many years ago with a blown fuse.

In my experience - a blown fuse means 'something' went wrong with the DS to cause it to blow in the first place
Bypassing it with just a piece of wire means you've bypassed any protection you had (it's always best to replace the fuse with another fuse instead of just wire)

It could be something went wrong with your friends DSi, perhaps the actual motherboard has a fault, that blew the fuse - & since the fault still exists on the board - that's why it keeps damaging flashcards.

Do your friends flashcards still work on your (or another DS- if you're worried they might blow your DS) DSLite ?? - if they do then the cards are not damaged & there's something wrong (connections perhaps) on his DSi
If the cards DON'T work on your DS - then the cards are most probably damaged, meaning that there is most probably a problem with his DSi

Great game. But I'd buy it straight up before paying for prime. Unless you order something everyday from amazon, not worth it imo

I'm one of those people that Amazon loses money on the Prime subscription with

Think they gave up on the website and mainly focus on the app

Mobile app is such absolute dogshit, I haven't used it in SO long
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah mobile versions better people don't think about how apps are just shrunken down websites

Agreed. Crazy how both seeking a job at Amazon, and subsequently quitting Amazon, are both some of the best decisions I've ever made
