Control settings menu from the TV with support for pro controller and wiimotes
Been away from the Wii U scene over the past couple of months. This module sounds interesting!

Does this mean the Gamepad is no longer necessary for using the Wii U once you have it set up?

edit on the post you quote: wiimotes ❌ Classic Controller ✅
I have not tested it yet, but as far as i know, early versions still need the gamepad connected and turned on, but is in discussions to improve it, to no longer needing the gamepad in future releases.

A great one that just got released is Wii VC Launch. It does away with the nagging messages that forces you to pick up a Wiimote and point it at the screen, and forces the decision for you if your using a forwarder to a vWii software.

This might be the best argument yet for me to move from Tiranisu to Aroma. Yet the things I can do on Tiramisu but can't in Aroma still outweigh for me the things I can do in Aroma but can't in Tiramisu.

Im not in Aroma yet, but I have one question and one plugin suggestion.

With plugins like the screenshot plugin, what I suppose that use some ram, very demanding titles like zelda botw will work at the same time of the plugin?

And the suggestion: be able to pair bluetooth earpods. I don't understand about developing for the wiiu, but even without the knowledge I think that is so difficult. But I suggest for If its there a possibility.

Thank you all the devs of these plugins. You guys care more for the wiiu than the creators of the console <3

Then you might want to look at this app. It creates a wuhb and a Homebrew Launcher app that lets you easily bounce between the two enviroments 😁

that has been suggested before on the Aroma discord here however, it has been dismissed by devs

Is EnvSwap working properly? I can go from Aroma to Tiramisu just fine, but when I try to go from Tiramisu back to Aroma the app gives me the following error: mocha_initlibrary failed, the application will now close...

Yeah, I do have both environments, I tried other apps in Tiramisu and they work, it's just the EnvSwap rpx file that doesn't. I'll try reinstalling Tiramisu, maybe I'm missing some file or something got corrupted, if not I'll try Discord.

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Its actua!ly just a old joke, meaning its slow. Was just kidding around with you.

I bet @AncientBoi has some hamsters hidden somewhere tho....

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
