I just tested Animal Crossing speed :

Original game (6x) : 10 footprints while loading

USB game (rev12, Seadate Freeagent GO) : 10 footprints also.

It was faster with rev10 so rev12 is limiting the speed to 6x in order to increase compatibility.

3-4 footprints here
and no smg shuttering (installed from original disk)

Yes! Back to rev 10! What a difference! SMG flows smooth again

The rev12 is for sure not fully tested, do NOT install this if you want your games to flow with a good speed!

Realy hoping on rev13 though, cause Metroid, Blob and DC was fixed with rev12, a well...

Hmm, seems that you havent installed the rev 12 correct, because if you had you should have experienced the same speed as everyone else here (10 fotsteps in AC, stuttering in SMG etc.). I think your Wii still runs om the rev 10...

sorry to burst your bubble

Okay, I did some testing and here's my result:

Also using Animal Crossing: City Folk and going by the first loading screen

Original Disc (6x): 7 steps
Backup disc (3x; Wiikey 1.9s): 9 steps
USB 160 GB HDD Seagate Freeagent Go (rev9/10): 3 steps!
USB 160 GB HDD Seagate Freeagent Go (rev12): 7 steps

I also tried Mario Kart Wii but since it got no "loading indication" icon I couldn't time it properly but it does seem that USB loads a bit slower than with the original disc. @_@

I'm scared to try Brawl. lol

same results here. but honestly as long as the speed is atleast as fast as original disc i can't complain better than the 3x speed. nfs undercover was horrible at 3x
