Hi guys,

I just received my PAL Super Nintendo I got from eBay in the mail and I would like to disassemble it because I'm thinking about replacing the 62-pin connector.
Now my problem is that I can't remove the ejection mechanism for the life of me. I've checked the ifixit guide and numerous videos on YouTube and in theory, it should be very simple. you lift up a metal bar that holds the plastic part in place and just pull the bar out. Sounds really easy, but for me it isn't. No matter how hard I pull on the bar, I just can't get it out.

Has anyone of you ever taken apart a SNES and can help me out here?

Thank you!

IIRC the bar is roughly L-shaped, and can be pulled out from one end.
Mine isn't L-shaped, it's just a straight bar.

You have to slide the metal bar out. Works for me anytime.
Doesn't work for me, the bar is stuck basically , that's my problem .
