Hi there? I'm kjean and um... just upset about DGP and DSV. So here I am.

REQUIREMENTS:
(for x86 only sorry!)
Nintendo DS/DSL.
DSTT/TTDS with Micro SDHC. (and not sure about SD)
Tuna-viDS 1.1 tuna-vids-1.1.zip
DLDI Tool Win32 GUI Dlditool-win32-gui.zip
DLDI Driver (for SDHC) ttiosdhc.zip - NOT Yasu's.
DLDI No-AutoPatch Dldino-apatch.zip

extract
tuna-vids-1.1.zip and
Dlditool-win32-gui.zip and
Dldino-apatch.zip,
ttiosdhc.zip
to C:\DLDI\ or some place you like.

start DLDI Patcher: dlditool32.exe from Dlditool-win32-gui.zip
and you should check this line, DLDI File: TTCARD IO Library(SDHC)
drag the tuna-open.nds and drop to DLDI Patcher. Patch it and you will see

Old driver: GBA Movie Player (Compact Flash)
New driver: TTCARD IO Library(SDHC)

Position in file: 0x00003A40
Position in memory: 0x02003840
Patch base address: 0xBF800000
Relocation offset: 0x42803840

Patched successfully
alright, now start DLDI No-Patcher: DLDI No-Patch.exe from Dldino-apatch.zip
then drag the tuna-open.nds and drop to it. Start it and you will see
QUOTEblahblah\tuna-open.nds - File succesfully patched!
[12 bytes written]
all done. you can place patched tuna-open.nds anywhere you like,
but tuna-vids.nds must be in your ROOT: or ROOT:/data/ of SDHC.

and rest things are all up to you now. Read tuna-vids.txt, it'll be good start.

ENCODE TOOL RECOMMENDATION:
BADAK: Mencoder GUI
you can embed subtitles, don't have to encode 2 or 3 times!
Mencoder SVN Build
BADAK include Cygwin build of mencoder and I don't like it and I prefer mencoder than ffmpeg. lol.

Enjoy the HQ XivD avi! Oooh-Hooh! xP

EDIT: simple patch uploaded HERE.

Yes, the files become smaller. The original AVI files get resized and resampled, from (for example) 800*600 pix @ 30 fps to 256*192 pix @ 12 fps, so yes, it gets much smaller than the original. The advantage of Tuna ViDS is that you can use any AVI editing/encoding software to encode the file to fit the specifications, instead of being limited to BatchDPG or DPGtools.
