*Damn typed too fast on the title and can't figure out how to change it. Should say LOOKING for emulation expert 🤦

Can I please get input from people who have the Exynos 2100 processor, and their experience with emulators on Android?

Based on how the reviewers overhyped it, I'd hoped that when I upgraded from my Samsung S8 it would run PPSSPP and Dolphin reasonably well but it's still hit and miss. If you've got an Exynos 2100 and got Dolphin and PPSSPP running well then I'd love to hear your feedback. Hoping there's an obvious setting I've missed somewhere...

so from my experience with samsung and emulation (got s3 -s21 ultra exynos versions) those arent great for emulation it was always a hit and miss and sadly theres no hidden setting

you can try the "game booster/game mode" app from samsung or try to cool your phone wich are only bad workarounds of the root problem

the problem with exynos it cant keep up the speed in long hard workloads they are more designed for small hard workloads
and yes im a lil pissed at sam too they use the european market as QA for their shitty Soc´s

Damn, that kind of ties in with my experience. I wouldn't mind so much but I'm seeing reviews of when the S21 was released saying that it smashes out emulation on PPSSPP and Dolphin but I'm not finding that all. At least Redream and FPSE run perfectly. Hopefully the Steam deck will run emulators and I'll be set...

Thanks though!

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
