My journey through hacking my NSW using RCMLoader. Context:
- I'm using the great guide https://switch.homebrew.guide/gettingstarted/beforestarting.html
- I'm also relying on the RCMLoader (old version) to send the payload
- The RMCLoader seemed to work but the NSW never left the black screen
- Solution: 1) stick to the old payload.bin or 2) update the firmware (requires Windows) https://www.xkit.xyz/support/
- It booted but then "A fatal error occurred when running Atmosphere. Title ID: 010041544d53000"
- Solution: I was "forced" to stick to the #2 prev solution (aka update the firmware)
-
- NSW went further but then it stopped by the "error code 2168-0001 & 2168-0002"
- Solution: it turns out my sd setup was telling me that I was using FAT32 and exFAT https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/issues/1881#issuecomment-1132230518 I just formatted my sd card into FAT32
- It seems to be working fine
- What's the tradeoff between FAT32 and exFAT on CFW NSW?
- Does anyone know how to update the RMCLoader firmware using Linux/Mac? (actually what's is the firmware on this dongle )
- How can I update the toolchain? (cfw, bootloader, ....)
- Any advice?
