Gaming Firefox not downloading my files

After I installed Stardownloader and removed all of its plugins from firefox, it still has difficulty downloading some files that would normally be sent to stardownloader now just open a blank page in firefox, such as when today I tried to download google chrome and some wallpaper zip file off of DA. Can anyone help, I googled my pproblem and it said to delete dl history did that and its still not working.

Reinstall Firefox.

Maybe the destination for where the files are being downloaded was changed?

Try this:
Tools > Options

Then there is a download section and asks where it is going to be sent when downloaded [i like mine sent to desktop. at least i can check on it right away]
