If I am on 9.0.0 is it safer to upgrade to 9.2.0 or should I stay on 9.0.0 and skip most of part two(skip to step 18) like the guide says?

If you already have A9LH set up and a CFW, just update through the System Settings.

Try updating (if you're on redNAND 9.2) or downgrading (if you're on redNAND 11.0) to redNAND 10.7 then do the downgrade to 2.1.

Hi guys so I started and finished step one and my current firmware in 9.0.0-20U. So can not downgrade and it says to skip to step 18. I then get to step 21 but I don't see EmuNAND9. Should I have done Step 2 even thought it says skip to step 18?

I've passed by a thread stating that the error didn't occur after he updated to 10.7 first. It's worth a shot.

i just bought old3ds xl 2 days ago, and it's already cfw (rxtool) RX-E 10.5.0-30U

i want to change it into luma3ds + a9lh, what should i do first?
am i need to remove that rxtool, and back to ofw first?

Hi @Plailect I had a lil idea. Intead of restoring the system when on 2.1 (after getting OTP) can't we just run SafeA9LHInstaller using the browser (it can be used to run ARM9 code right?), Install arm9loaderhax, and after that, flash the emuNAND_original.bin to the sysNAND using Decrypt9WIP's 'Keep a9LH' Option?

I am on step4_5.
But when I run Luma3DS I see the version become Sys 9.2.0-20U, instead of EMU x.x.x
When I was on step3_27, I got EMU x.x.x

What did I miss?

Hi @Plailect, i install a9lh last march now i switch from cakes to luma.... all ok except decyrpt9 it boot but it freeze (hang). Need help pls.

I actually managed to get it now. Turns out transferring the firmware.bin to the luma folder apparently didn't work properly and the file was corrupted. I copied the file over again and I was able to downgrade properly from firmware 11.0 on RedNAND.

I went forward even though I did not have any answers. All was successful in the end. I would like to thank @Plailect for the great guide and everyone who made this happen/files and any other contributions.
