I have an xbox 360 modded to play backups online.
I live in the uk and have required a copy of ghostbusters game which is region free.
If I wait until the official release date of it in usa will I be ok to play online?

Thanks

PLaying before a release date is not advised. Just hold off for a little bit until it is released because it has happened in the past, though the chances are slim.

Kool, thanks for answer. Atm when I play offline I unplug my ethernet cable lol
It's coming out in the US soon, and I know in the UK area it is coming out later. Once it comes out in the US, feel free to play online as you cannot get banned for playing a region-free game.

Dont play it at all if possible. It stores the game data in the xbox and the ethernet has nothing to do with it. If microsoft ever want to go on another banning wave, they will check it for suspiciously early players of titles.

Man screw what everyone else says and play. Microsoft doesn't ban for playing games early, especially when the street date for this game has already been broken at many stores. PLAY!!!!!!

I know this is bumping a few day old thread but it's true so I want to put emphasis on it. They do not ban you for playing a game early if they can't prove how you got it.
This is coming from someone who played Halo 3, at the time their biggest game, an entire MONTH before it was released. I was never banned or anything. They don't give a crap. The only way you can get banned is by playing a bad rip.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
