Help needed, guys!

I have assigned a face sign-in via Kinect ID by mistake on my Xbox360 (RGH2). It now signs me in automatically in Kinect games and in MS dashboard. I do not want this, as I have a Live and Offline accounts and would like to keep them separate & switch manually.

I couldn't find where the face ID data is stored. I cannot dissable or erase it via dashboard as far as I looked. I tried exploring in various folders, but also without success. I restored my old profiles backups - also with no success. There are some official guidance for Xbox One, but nothing for Xbox360.

So, here is the question - where is the Kinect Face ID data is stored and how I can safely erase it? (Without creating new profiles or formating HDD).
Thank you.

Latest (2.0.17559.0) with kinect avatar update installed.

Do you think that kinect ID user face data will be stored with firmware files?
no. the flash would be write protected unless updating. it's almost certainly onf the hdd. maybe try removing the hdd, power the console on, then seeing if it does the same thing.

Thanks for advice. I tried it yesterday. Kinect won't work without hdd, as it has kinect & avatar data installed there.

I suspect this file may contain information about Kinect ID, as a smaller version of ContentCache.pkg is generated when the profile is moved to USB drive.
Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/FFFE07DF/00040000/ContentCache.pkg
I think so because it was mentioned that Kinect ID can be transfered between xbox360 consoles via USB stick profile move. (it is not written to profile, as I already restored old backups with no success).

However, if ContentCache.pkg is deleted, it will be regenerated by the system.

I thought maybe you could look in the hdd using something like party buffalo or fatxplorer to see which files or folders had been modified.

Tried yesterday. Find some files in cache and system files that are being constantly written to. Couldn't find the kinect setting files except the one I mentioned above.

I feel that user face id goes in the kinect executable file, as kinect constanly scans for faces. I wish I could zero' that file. I am thinking of taking hdd out and doing xbox factory reset, but I would rather avoid it, as there is no guarantee that it would resolve the issue.
Post automatically merged:

I didn't found a configuration file that can be deleted, however the setting is kept on console's HDD and it is not in the profile's folder. I setup USB drive, installed kinect & avatar update, data and disconnected the internal HDD to prove it. The console couldn't detect any Kinect ID.

After some additional testing, I found the solution:

To remove Kinect ID from the console, the profile needs to be completely deleted with all items from the console using Microsofts Dashboard and ftp'ed back.

So, after taking the profiles backup, deleting them from the console via MS Dash, and ftp'ing them back, I managed to get rid of Kinect ID and keep my profiles. MS Dash removed the Kinect ID entry somewhere on internal HDD after deleting the profile completely (Simply moving the profile won't do the trick).

$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release

@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but they don't seem to have done any of those for the switch yet and maybe never will

I think we all forgot breath of the wild released for the wii u tbh

@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy

@SylverReZ I read that non-binary people identify as a blend of male and female. The point is i think i'm a blend of those and thus non binary
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Non-binary people are those who don't identify themselves exclusively as male or female.
