how do i court a girl?

ok, so at school, there's this girl that i like

shes beautiful alright and a little tomboyish

well we dont talk much cause i have this with fear of rejection when i'm near her but usually im a carefree, risk taker kind of person who likes to laugh around all day

but i surmise that she's also shy around me resulting in a south pole-south pole connection

i did a couple of little advancements like giving her chocolates and a love poem

i think she likes me back and her friends said so

when i gave the moronic chocolates i stupidly asked if i could court her, she said "ask them," while pointing to her friends but she was smiling so i took that as a good sign

another time i asked if there's a chance that i'd be her boyfriend, she said "i don't know," but she was smiling again like shes just making herself too hard-to-get

so what do you all think? how can i confirm she likes me back and/or if i can pull it off? (she never had a boyfriend{i think},she rejected most of them,others just find her too hard-to-get.)
