Trucha won't become useless to extract files. But maybe it will become useless to put the files back into the ISO, in the next update, if it activates the Trucha fix. (If someone don't find a way to go around it.) . It is however the only way to do so right now.

you can use wiiscrubber to get files from wii isos too
