Hacking How to be notified of title updates?

I have used disc2app to install my retail games onto USB. All of them are currently up-to-date, but if I use the DNS block I won't be notified of title updates by Nintendo.

So, is there another way to check for title updates, either via some Homebrew on the console itself, or by subscribing to some kind of mailing list or RSS feed or similar?

You will be notified of app updates when opening them (and it will wait a good half minute trying unsuccessfully to download, unless you use NNUPatcher or manually turn off the custom DNS)

The version list is updated over spotpass during yellow-light standby or in certain cases I don't know with the console on!

Oh, thanks. I assumed the DNS thing would stop it being able to even check for game updates, not just download them. If it doesn't, that makes life easier.
