Gaming How to create DVD5 SSBB PAL from NTSC-USA DVD9

This tutorial was created for Wii owners, like me, who are having trouble creating a dvd5 version of SSBB for their PAL wiis. All credit goes to original authors.

1. Download Trucha Signer 0.21 http://www.ingenieria-inversa.cl/files/trucha021.rar

2. Download RegionFrii 1.21 http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=722

3. Download Ultraedit http://www.ultraedit.com/ (skip if you use another hex editor)

4. Unzip everything and put them into a central directory.

5. Right-click on "wiikeyset.reg" and click on "edit" and find the section:

6. Open the key.bin file in UltraEdit (or your alternate hex editor) and make sure you are in hex mode (Ctrl-H).
* key.bin (You need to find it and download it for yourself, can´t link to this file)
Google it! It will have an MD5 of 8D1A2EBCD82A3469B77FACF15D9C8E50

7. Replace the "common key" line...

"common key"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00

...with the contents from key.bin. For example, if key.bin contained AABBCCDDEEFFAABBCCDDEEFF11223344, you'd enter...

"common key"=hex:AA,BB,CC,DD,EE,FF,AA,BB,CC,DD,EE,FF,11,22,33,44

8. Save the "wiikeyset.reg" file and activate it by double clicking on it. Click "Yes" to add it to the registry.

9. Apply this patch to your NTSC-USA SSBB DVD9 iso (this may take a while)

10. Start Trucha Signer and Select KeySet->Custom KeySet 1

11. Click Image->Open ISO and load the newly created SSBB ISO

12. Expand DISC->PARITION (RELSAB)->ROOT

13. Right click __update.inf and select extract to file (save it to your desktop and then delete the file)

14. Download Prophets modified __update.inf http://www.filefactory.com/file/6672f5

15. Right click __update.inf in Trucha and select Replace and browse for Prophets ProphSSBB.inf

16. Go into the second partition PARTITION (RSBE01), extract the main.dol

17. Open main.dol with Generic Wii Patcher tool and hit "Remove 001" and hit "NTCS-2-PAL" then hit SAVE. if you do not hit save, it wont fix it.

18. In trucha signer, right click the main.dol that you just extracted, hit replace and replace it with your new modified main.dol

20. Right click PARTITION (RELSAB) and select Trucha Sign It! do the same to PARTITION (RSBE01)

21. Close Trucha and start Regionfrii.

22. Load the modified SSBB Iso and select New Region->PAL (Default) and click Update ISO

23. Download and install ImgBurn http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

24. Burn the game to a DVD-R, DVD+r, DVD-RW or DVD+RW

25. Insert the disc in your Wii and if it asks to update let it update 100%

26. Enjoy Brawl on your PAL Wii without dual channels!

That's basically what I did back before I bought a DL burner, it works fine.

However, don't be suprised if the next firmware update stops this from working, whereas a DVD9 regionfrii'd brickblocked one should be fiture proof.

How exactly do I find the key.bin..? have been looking around all over, but cant find it :/ can someone tell me here or on pm?

not asking for a specific link, just how, possibly what to search for.
