Hacking How to debug on the Wii U?

What I would need is some tool like Valgrind to check array bounds and such. Now I'm searching since days but couldn't find anything except GCCs own sanitizer.
So I added -fsanitize=address to the CFLAGS but that won't link:

/opt/devkitpro/devkitPPC/lib/gcc/powerpc-eabi/8.4.0/../../../../powerpc-eabi/bin/ld: cannot find -lasan
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Looks like a bug in devkitPro to me (as asan.h files are in place). Does anyone have the missing files or know any other way to do what I need?

A lot of times with questions like these you might have good luck asking on discord #wiiu or on EFNet #wiiudev
A lot of prominent Wiiu devs still hang out there and discuss all kinds of stuff. They're pretty friendly too.

These where the first places I asked (you mean Nintendo Homebrew Discord, right?) but nobody seems to have an answer on Discord and nobody seemed active at all on IRC (stayed there for around two days to see if somebody is going to reply)

Nowadays I would actually use the 4TU (ForTheUsers) discord server. They have a #wiiu channel in the homebrew section and a #development channel in the topics section. A bunch of active devs are there.
