At the very least, no harm done.Good intentions, and all that.
highanimalhouse said:Cool, so basically the fix is like an update to 0.3Gamma. Thanks, I'll check it out....I wouldn't be surprised if there are more games in the future that will have the 002 problem, so this is helpful.
Another question: will the fix allow you to play Sam & Max Season One (so far the only game that doesn't work on any backup loaders)? Or any of the games that had to be run through IOSPatcher before playing such as Medal of Honor Heroes 2, House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, etc.? Or as I imagine it's specific to games with 002 error....I guess the others can be released as a patch for nearly 100% compatibility!

i have 3.3U d2pro chip installed. i intend to play the disc through the regular disc channel. i believe i have cIOS rev7 installed on 249 and the IOS51 and WiiShiop update installed.
followed the direction here, extracted main.dol with WiiScrubber, patched the 002 error and forced language to Japanese, then re-inserted. and then brickblocked the iso and burned.
as soon as i insert this backup into my wii i get a black screen with an error message that says:
"An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting."
Has anyone run into similar problems? what might I have done wrong?

i can't even run it through GeckoOS. as soon as i put the disc in the Wii gives me the black screen with the error message. i wasn't able to even load GeckoOS.Gamer said:That's because the ISO is fake-signed, and you have 3.3. The only way to run it would be with GeckoOS, assuming you have 3.3UV1.
This confirms WiiScrubber also Fake-Signs the ISO. I mean, if it wouldn't, we could modify main.dol easily since begining, and we wouldn't have this kind of problems with FW updates.
So, I think the first post needs to be modified.

On the first post I never said that the WiiScruber doesn't fake-sign the .iso, I just said that there is no such thing as: right click on the 2 partition and click on "Trucha sign!!", WiiScruber automatically fake-sign it, Trucha Signer needs the right click blah blah
Ahh, got it nowThanks for telling me

i am suspecting the brickblocking messed up my disc.
