If you're using tiramisu or aroma, you may be able to get into homebrew launcher. I don't know if it's x or plus to get into the selector.

It crashes before it even reads the sd card. I hold x on boot up, and it still crashes.

BTW, the wii u hangs on the logo

also, the gamepad doesn't turn on when i press power button on the console. And the console doesnt turn on when i press the power button on the gamepad. Th only way i can turn it on is via the "Play Wii U" Button in the TV remote menu.

I managed to fix it for a short amount of time. But then i stupidly decided to restore my home button menu backup with ftpiiu and it is stuck on the boot logo again. This time, the jingle loops. I can still use udpih and wupserver, and i have since gained knowledge on how to use wupserver. Hopefully you can help me fix this.

Try again. I once bricked transferring a theme via ftp. It did what you describe, but it's easy to fix if using tiramisu, aroma, or cbhc.

Only reason i've seen lately to downgrade the menu is to get the tvii icon, and is useless at this point 'cause the service is down. I guess you have a nand backup, right? hope you can restore it. good luck
