Homebrew Is it possible to convert a PS3 PKG file of any PS2 Classic game into a PS3 ISO for multiman when running off of an exFAT/NTFS external storage?

Or does this only apply strictly to PS3 PKG file of PS3 games?

Because I have a PS3 Slim model where the only modding option for it is HEN and not a CFW, I'm just wondering. From what I was told, PS2 ISOs won't work on HEN when using Multiman and only works on PS3s with actual CFW while PS3 Slims modded with HEN can only run PS3 and PS1 ISOs off of external exFAT storages on Multiman.

By PS2 Classic game, I mean PS2 games that are officially on PS3's PSN store and not ISO files from ROM sites.

No. Basically what I said at my last restaurant; you can cut some corners, but if you cut all the corners all the time it will taste in the food.
This will not work; but you are not short of solutions.

I see. Is it possible to run digital-only PS3 games(like Killzone 1 HD) as ISO files off of an exFAT/NTFS external drive or does this only work with PS3 games that had physical copy releases?

You can convert psn games with psn liberator. Think there's an iso option. You just need rap and klicense.

yes you can run an iso of any PS3 game off your usb/external drive, if it was a digital only and you just have the pkg file you can convert it to an iso file if you want and run it off external rather than install it. Aldos ps3tools has a pkg to iso converter I do believe.

Compatible and semi-compatible PS3 models can launch PS2 games only from internal HDD or game discs. Not compatible PS3 models can launch games only from internal HDD. So, in any way no external drives is possible.

And most good chances are you can put your portable hard drive INSIDE your ps3. Hard drives are SOOO cheap and available these days that there would never be a reason for someone to not have enough room INSIDE their PS3. Swap them up

I know the pricing of electronics nowadays isn't "how much it actually costs" but "how much we can get away with", but putting up a poll is just cynical.
