I noticed that after upgrading to System Menu 4.1 (using Waninkoko's updater) there are couple issues with my Wii that weren't there before. At this point I'm leaning toward using RestoreMii to go back to a backup of System Menu 4.0.
I just wanted to post this info to see if anyone else has the same issues.
First of all, the OneUp GH:WT DLC no longer seems to work with either my original or backup copies of GH:WT. I get the following message when I try to play any of the songs I've installed:
"(song name) is out of date and cannot be restored to Wii system memory. To use the add-on content, redownload (song name) for which the license has been previously purchased."
I've tried re-installing the songs as well as the title wad, it doesn't seem to solve the problem. I followed the usual install process of install one song, move it to SD, and so on. After trying to re-install, the problem is now worse... it won't list any songs at all, either in Song mode or Archive mode, saying the Add-on Content Catalog is not present on the Wii. When I select to install the Add-on Content Catalog, the following error appears:
"The Add-on Content Catalog is out of date and cannot be restored to Wii system memory. To use the add-on content, redownload the Add-on Content Catalog for which the license has been previously purchased."
I had no problems with the DLC on System Menu 4.0, I was just playing it the other day. The problems only started once I upgraded to 4.1. My guess is they implemented new features into System Menu 4.1 that prevents the GH:WT DLC from working. Is anyone else on System Menu 4.1 and able to use the OneUp GH:WT DLC?
My second issue is that for some reason when I have my original GH:WT disc in, the Disc Channel shows "System Menu Update" and won't launch the game from the Disc Channel without forcing the update to install. I just used GeckoOS to skip the update, cause my system menu is at 4.1 -- it shouldn't need an update from an older disc.
Why would it show System Menu Update in the Disc Channel, even though I have the latest version system menu? Something must be up.
Anyone have any ideas about either of these problems?
