Sorry if this is getting really annoying to everyone but Im completely new to this.. Im thinking of getting a wii and want to know what to do to play 'backup'

games on it..?? I wouldnt have a clue about the first thing to do at all..

Obviously the softmod method is cheaper but it's still at its first beta stage so it's very buggy and not the best choice. You can get modchips pre-soldered onto a clip that you just snap onto a chip on your Wii's DVD drive so no soldering needs to be done by you.

You say you're thinking of getting a wii which means you don't have one yet.. you could buy a pre-modchipped system off some websites where they'll already have it soldered in for you.

For best compatibility: get a modchip; for cheapest: use the softmod method and hope it gets better.

I've been using the softmod and am really thinking of just getting a modchip. Wish someone would help me though with the differences between all the types out there. :/
