When useing my R4 in the DS their are always a couple file I do not want to see like "_moonshell" or something like that. I found a super easy way to make it so that when on your DS you do not see the file at all!

So slap that microSD into your computer somehow, and open up and find the files you DO NOT want to see when it is in your DS.

1: Right click, go to "properties".
2: Look on the first tab till you find "attributes".
3: Make sure there is a check int he box "hidden".
4: Do not forget to APPLY the new setting!
5: Put the micro SD back into your flash cart of choice, boot it up, and the file will not show up!

Things I like to do this with:
Firmware folder
Moonshell folder
Parts of emulators besides the .nds file that boots it.

So yeah, try it.

No offense, but you got to be very very paranoid if you're sick of seeing the Moonshell folder in your list of games.

Personally, it doesn't bother me. Just because I know there's no files in there that will even load, lol.

But uhm, nice tip? Kthnx.

It is more about having it looks nice.

I did this the day I got my Cyclo to all my unwanted folders...

Indeed, and it's quite handy indeed. Especially with all the homebrew on my card

I know!
I hate how every homebrew game thinks that it's good enough to deserve a spot on the root of my SD card. I hide those ignorant fools

They need to keep the data somewhere.

Obviously, but I hate the games that don't work unless their folder is on the root.

I've always hidden folders on my R4 that weren't necessary to be seen. It works the same way on the CycloDS too.

One thing that might be good to mention is that, on your PC, you need to have to the option enabled to see hidden files in explorer, otherwise files you hide will seem to completely disappear and you won't even know they are on the microSD anymore.

To set hidden folders, while in explorer, go to "tools", then folder options. There's lots of goodies to set in there.

Woah, this is a handy tip indeed. I knew about hiding folders but I didn't think they would work on a flashcart. Thanks for the tip.

With technology it's easy to miss little things while still knowing the basics. I don't see why people need to talk down to people for not knowing this. It's a very arrogant approach.
