Hey guys,

I'm still trying to work on customizing Smackdown Vs Raw...I don't know why I can't post in that thread...but anyways, I've spent hours trying to update a titantron...by grabbing a titantron from Wii Scrubber, using BINK Video and other conversion tools to compress and resize it...and after hours (I have been trying since 8 am, and its now almost 5...) I still cannot get it to work. I figure if I start small with swapping a file, I can move up from there....and if it is a success, I can post some updated titantrons for easy use (just swap and play). I have Svr2011 but there's no fun in grabbing a tron from there. I decided I wanted to do this project with SvR 2010 because I like the way it plays.

So yeah, after much googling and much personal messaging, I have accomplished very little, other than customizing a bik file, renaming a game ID so there's no conflicts, and dumping a whole bunch of trons on to my computer.

The second thing I was trying to do without getting all fancy was swapping music. I'm hoping someone with expertise in GH modding could help me. I used some tool to dump all the fsb tracks from a single fsb but I cannot figure out what to do from there. I've honestly been putting in an effort towards this, so really, I'm not full of hot air. I have no idea what to do now...I just downloaded some crap called the fmod profiler which has no relation to music.

If anyone can help, that would be great!

Thank you very much,

WarMachine

P.S. The CAWs.ws and the Old Skool forums don't provide support for Wii hacking. I did look through several threads on this forum too but to no avail...
The TvC music swapping one and the Pokemon BR game to name two.

I don't know why you're trying to compress and resize them, since I'm sure they were already compressed, and the right size to begin with. You should start by literally swapping files, I think. Take one video and change it with another, no modifications or anything.

Just rename them and replace them in the ISO.

I've never done anything with music, but I imagine once they're in the right format, a similar process will work.

I hope that helps a little. I'm certainly not an expert at this stuff, but I have swapped video files around without a problem before (though I haven't added custom videos).

Thanks for getting back to me really fast, respect!

Sorry if I didn't provide enough info, I was trying to resize a titantron I downloaded from the internet. I think I will start with swapping files, although...I'm not too sure how this will help me add my own stuff in. Do you know how I should save the iso? This one site suggests changing to Trucha mode? (wth)

Do you know how to swap skins ? I just think its absurd how we can have

"OMFG NOOD SKINZ 4 SAMUS"

But nothing for lets say, adding Bret Hart and Ric Flair back into the game.

Every game is different. It might be that you're converting them to the right format, or it might be that the game has a more specific check on the files (like length, or file size) than others. Switching two files already in the game would help you narrow it down. Saving it as (with?) Trucha might help, seeing as the Trucha bug was what originally let homebrew run on the console. I don't know how relevant it is at this point, but it wouldn't hurt to try!

Same with the skins. Some games can just have a file or two replaced, but it's just not always that easy.

I have no interest in wrestling, so I can't be more specific about this particular game, unfortuneatly. I hope you can get it sorted out, though. Hopefully someone with more experience or information than I have will show up.

If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.
