You can use "jouer" or "jouez", it's not really a fault. "Jouer" would be more general. But for the accents, maybe they aren't included in the rom.

I found out that there's still Japanese fonts in the US game.

Nice! Lately I realized that I really should be playing games in languages I want to learn, rather than the one I'm most comfortable with. My immersion skills are going to crap, so this would be great for me to play. I'll be keeping an eye on this

Texts are in the Overlays.
Overlay 0 for the Menu Text
1 for Zero 1.
2 for Zero 2.
3 for Zero 3.
And 4 for Zero 4.

You also need a table to see them (works perfectly on Menu Texts (Overlay 0)) :

As i said, it's in the ARM9 Overlays. It's not in the "files".
