avg is really good, it was crap back in the days of low ram and slow hard drives but now it uses around 7-10 megs of ram, and as soon as a new file appears on the system it inspects it and warns me or dosent.
also my cats name is "Rozalin" because my brother loved disgaea so much

AVG sucks. I hate it with a passion.

Pirate BitDefender. The antivirus programs you listed are horrible.

looks like someone hasn't tried the new version of avg, avg is the best antivirus for big companies
I did.

It still sucks. Terrible interface to name one of its problems. Where'd you hear that? It isn't the best "antivirus for big companies". Don't spread false stuff unless you can back it up.

Security Essentials and learn a little about Windows firewall; that is all you need. Security Essentials is free and doesn't bother you like a lot of the others. I was an avast and AVG user but Security Essentials removes the bloat and I have had zero false positives.
