Hacking New Super mario Prob

Hey all
Ive been searching through threads trying to find an answer to new super mario
I get a green screen when it loads and the back to the menu it goes
ive read stuff about rev??'s, and cios and ios
is there a way to check my wii for these and what should it be at

Do i need to update some of these files maybe

usb-drive or disc? if the first, just use latest cfg usb loader, usb loader gx, uloader or wiiflow (I might've missed one).

If disc, replace main.dol with fixed one. learn to search.

ive tried replacing the main dol but i cant seem to isert it back after patching
havent tried the usb loader yet thats what im about to do now
just want to read on it first

For Disc-Loader Users (no ModChip, only cIOS):
-The patched game works fine with rev14 and NeoGamma/SoftChip.
-The patched game works with cIOS rev15, and USBLoader GX or uLoader 3.1.

Whats Rev 14 and Rev 15 mean
thats what i dont understand
and how would i check if my wii has it

Ask the person who softmodded it for you. If you had modded it yourself, you should know what rev you put on it.

I did it my self but it was quite some time ago
Last christmas i believe
But i dont remember the rev
is there any way i could find this out
or should i just upgrade it
if so could someone point me to a tutorial

I did mine about the end of March this year using Twilight Hack (Then, I hated 4.0) and I got everything OK. Here's something. Go into Google and find a copy of cIOS38 rev14 if you're using a DVD or cIOS38 rev 15 if you're using USB. Then, install it (no problems there) and get NeoGamma r8, latest beta (I think it's beta15?), and you're in. If you want, you can then "Pimp" your Wii, meaning update all of your IOS.

if you have a gamma channel on ya wii. then put a game in. load through gamma channel and it will tell you at the bottom of the screen rev ios249 blah blah

it does in my r6 gamma channel anyway

Gamma is VERY outdated, it was unupdated for a long time. NeoGamma is the new one, forget Backup Launcher 0.3GAMMA.

i got it working with a usb loader
i still dont understand this cios and rev stuff
but im in no rush now to figure it out
ill do some good reading now and figure it out
