No More Heroes 3 is the latest game to see a delay due to Covid-19, as its release has now been pushed back to 2021.
As announced by No More Heroes director Goichi "Suda51" Suda on Twitter, the team at Grasshopper Manufacture had hoped to get the game out in 2020, but the global pandemic disrupted development.
"...The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have unfortunately proven to be a real body blow to our schedule, causing unforeseen delays in development," Suda explained. "Now that we have managed to get back on our feet with development, we have decided to focus on prioritising quality, and to therefore push back the final release date."
The team now hopes to release No More Heroes 3 on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2021. Suda noted it wasn't all bad news, however, as American comic book illustrator Darick W. Robertson (known for his work on The Boys) will be joining the project to provide some original illustrations. More of these are due to be posted on social media soon, so at least there's something to keep No More Heroes fans entertained.
