Hacking Online without update?

Hi all! I have a N3DS on fw 9.0E. I'm waiting for the GW update but meanwhile i want to play online games such Pokémon Alpha Sapphire with my legit cartridges. Here's my question: Can i play online with my games without update my N3DS? Sorry for n00b question but i'm really new here. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same situation with monster hunter; I don't think there's a solution unfortunately.

if a game requires an update from the e-shop, which means the e-shop requires an NNID - so pretty much if you want to play online, you need to update.

Because the Sky3DS diskwriter uses public headers to patch game for online while you can use your own header file to patch your games for online with GW
