So im a big fan of Christopher Nolan movies. but the last two were bit miss for me. but i thought Dunkirk is different but i can see loads of people will love it. even Quentin Tarantino loved Dunkirk.

Then Tenet happened during a time when it was the most changeling period of modern times. plus the story was very complex. i was like its bit experimental. but sure, all great people of science experiment.

then news about a movie about Oppenheimer the sciencist was coming out, with a list of great actors. like massive list, im thinking some of these people will have a line at most. im like that doesnt matter. im sure they will pay they rent.

now i heard on the staff irc chat. the movie is in black and white. dude like wtf? maybe its an interactive movie. where you colour stuff?

The most iconic image of Oppenheimer, the footage everyone has seen of him, is this:

I couldn't imagine him in color.

Every time I'm forced to think about this I end up going down a rabbit hole and finding out something horrific I didn't know before. It also kinda makes me hate "America" for a bit.

    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.

OK no problem the issue is he would download DBZ movies and they where amazing usually like 2-8KB in size lol can't remember how many times I had to format and reinstall windows over his stupidity. I even explained to him about file sizes multiple times...

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Psionic Roshambo, Yeah, BonziBuddy was both spyware and ad-ware. It collected children's personal information without consent as well as display fake Windows popups.
