my wii fell and it damaged the port 0 so gamecube games freeze randomly, so i need to use port 1 for them but i dont want to switch between port 0 and 1 everytime i change from wii and gcn games.

usbloadergx r1271 from cyan's signature
i tryed to use ios 58 for loaders ios but nothing, i tryed edditing meta.xml, installing v10 beta53 on slot 249 in case usb gx falls back to it and set it in options but it doesnt want to work.

for gamecube, you can use Port1 without problem.
set the loader to use IOS58 (instead of 249) and it will read both ports, and nintendont is also using IOS58 so port1 will work.

if you want to use port1 for Wii games, you need beta53, but it's not enough.
you need to tell the loader that you want to use port1 :
settings > loader's settings > loader's IOS : instead of 58, select the slot where you installed beta53
settings > hdd settings > usb port : Port1
reboots

beware, beta53 is ... beta. it has issues with hardware, games, and features :
some drives are not working
some SD cards are not working
some games are not working
emuNAND often doesn't work either
if it helps, good. but don't expect it to work fine. you might find it better to use port0 with random issue than port1 with beta53.

You have the option to use hermes cIOS for port1 too, but I can't tell how good it'll work with features or games. it doesn't have all d2x features and fixes.

Here’s what happens, with said options, upon rebooting, it will put the USB port to 0 and if I try to put it back to 1 it will show this :

You know what, screw that, I will find a hardware solution, since no software solutions seems to work.
