Restoring game data for 2DSXL

I have to sell my 2ds XL so I just copy everything in the SD card to my laptop, and delete everything in the SD card. I am wondering if there is any way to retrieve the game data from that SD card. Do I just simply copy-paste everything to the new SD card?

Is your system modded? Then yes, use Checkpoint to backup your save files. If you have games already installed, dump them all with GodMode9 as CIA files.
