Is the controller you use to swing the tennis racket in some games attached to wires or wireless? Cause I can see many consoles falling off tables from being pulled too hard in excitement.

I think the wii controllers are wired hand to hand, but are wireless from controller(s) to console.
Hopefully the day of the wired controller is ending soon. There's no reason for the manufacturers to keep making them. If they do however, maybe nintendo will innovate enough to make the connectors magnetic, so they just pop of when your four year old comes tearing through the living room at 90 mph.

I thought you also needed to hide behind something, there was something in a trailer where a boy came from behind the couch and started shooting. Would that mean we can get Time Crisis like games?

Well Nintendo is the first company to use Bluetooth Wireless Controllers as STANDARD on their consoles. I just wish the other 2 would phase out the wired versions. It'll force them to create better battery packs.
