Even death won't save him, remember debtors get first priority of deceased's assets and if anything remains then the family inherits any leftovers.Nah, this is something called a non-dischargeable debt since his crime was done with fraud and malice, so even bankruptcy can't stop him from having to give all his money to the plaintiffs. They can go after his estate if he ever wants to pass that on, they have access to a portion of his pension, etc.
The only thing that would allow him to not have to give every penny to them would be death.
