Hi,

So I have my OG Switch with CFW and two accounts, one is a US account, and the other is a Japanese account. Then I have a Switch Lite that I would like to use for some of my games that I don't intend to play on my OG Switch. So, I really don't have any need to transfer my saves for the games I play on my OG Switch to my Switch Lite. Am I able to use one or both of my accounts that are on my OG Switch on my Switch Lite without transferring anything then? Do I just sign in to one of my accounts on my Switch Lite? Or is there more to it than that? By the way, all of my games are physical copies. I don't own any digital copies.

I appreciate the help!

You can have the same account on more than one Switch, however one will be the primary system and the other a secondary. The secondary system requires a daily (I believe) online check-in to use digital content, which may be an issue if you have DLC.

I see. So is setting the primary system (OG) and secondary system (Lite) pretty simple? My data to the account I choose to sign into on my Switch Lite won't delete it from my OG Switch?

I own three Nintendo Switch consoles (one of each type: Lite, Regular and OLED), on all three I'm using the same account, and only on the Lite I use an account with Nintendo Switch Online services, I can use the same account on all the consoles at the same time, but the very same digital game can't be played simultaneously.

The OLED console is my main console and the other two are secondary. If I want to play any digital games on the Lite or the Regular Switch, the console requires to confirm the game can be played (i.e. it's not being played already on another console). Cartridge games haven't that requirement for obvious reasons.

If you plan to own or do already a "Mig", the risk of ban increases greatly and the same applies if you buy second hand physical games. That's something that we all must have into consideration when buying second hand.

BTW, none of my Switch consoles are temped.

If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
