I'll start off by saying that I have never self-hosted any exploits and I am not familiar with terminals and commands. I've been trying to self-host Pegascape on my Windows 10. I installed node.js and npm (i believe they came in one package). I followed the readme file for pegascape and tried to run "npm install" in the pegascape master directory however, it seemed to load and extract some things but error messages followed:

npm ERR! code ENOENT
npm ERR! syscall spawn git
npm ERR! path git
npm ERR! errno ENOENT
npm ERR! enoent Error while executing:
npm ERR! enoent undefined ls-remote -h -t https://github.com/Dwood15/blessed.git
npm ERR! enoent
npm ERR! enoent
npm ERR! enoent spawn git ENOENT
npm ERR! enoent This is related to npm not being able to find a file.

And when running the following command "[sudo] node start.js [--webapplet] [--ip <html_server_ip_override>] [--host <dns_server_ip_override] [--disable-dns]" I get the following message:

At line:1 char:8
+ [sudo] node start.js [--webapplet] [--ip <html_server_ip_override>] [ ...

+ ~

+ CategoryInfo : ParserError: (:) [], ParentContainsErrorRecordException

Has anyone successfully been able to self-host pegascape? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Why not just use Pegascape?

From what i have found out so far is the format is

node start.js --webapplet --ip 192.168.0.11 --host 192.168.0.11

Also, if you go into node_module and

git clone https://github.com/Dwood15/blessed.git

it seems to do the same thing. though my knowledge of node is something like 2% at this moment...lol. I will try to help anyway that I can.

I'm somewhat tech savvy but I get pretty lost when doing anything command prompt, terminal, or linux related. I was able to follow this tutorial and get Pegascape Self Hosting working on Windows 10. I made some adjustments on what I needed to get it working, you can follow the original post and refer to my reply to see my adjustments. B-)

$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

@Xdqwerty, Non-binary people are those who don't identify themselves exclusively as male or female.
