Hacking Sneek Device Compatibility

I've been looking to hopefully find a nice usb loader replacement in sneek. But I'm not sure what usb devices it supports cause I know it's certainly not all.

Is there anything like that around here? Or does anyone know any general pointers? I was going to buy a new laptop sized external usb powered HD from wal-mart for it, but I'm not sure how compatible it'd be.
