Hacking Homebrew Stock Game Cartridge in CFW

Let's say, I have the game cartridge for Smash Ultimate, but I don't have DLC Pack 2 on it.

Can I copy the game data to the EmuMMC/RAW1 directory of my SD card and then download the missing DLC via Tinfoil, to play it on my emu NAND ?

Only if the emunand was made after the install of any content on sysnand
