Suda51 working on Neon Genesis Evangelion

Grasshopper Manufacture, the studio behind No More Heroes and the upcoming Shadows of the Damned, is working on a Neon Genesis Evangelion game for the PSP. It's not your typical Eva game.

The game is based on Rebuild of Evangelion, a remake of the original Evangelion. It's a rhythm game that will incorporate action, music, and Eva. The game's sound and music tracks are being mixed by Akira Yamaoka of Silent Hill fame, and the production is being overseen by Grasshopper's Goichi Suda.

Rebuild of Evangelion: Sound Impact's development is 85 percent finished, and the game will be out this September in Japan.

If its got Gochi Suda on it, it should be interesting. Looks like the PSP's getting a little more love, in Japan at least.

And immediately it reminds me of the neon genesis evangelion slot game on the ds. I don't expect much from from this game, but considering the developer, it might be interesting

WHYYYYYYYYY! We still lack a PROPER Evangelion game after all those years... The only good ones were Eva64 and Evangelion2/Another Cases (kinda)... Finally someone as badass as Suda51 gets to work on an Evangelion title, and what do we get? A FREAKING RHYTHM GAME.

Funny, I have it, but it didn't work on CFWs back then. I'll give it a shot.
