Found a dyson dc59 stick vac in the trash one day on my way home, it was just the motorhead, extension stick, and powered brushhead. No charger, wall mount or other brush attachments. Hooked up an adjustable dc psu to it of 26v @ 0.7a to the charger power port, no light, nothing. So after looking it up ordered a replacement battery with charger brick for $35, swapped the batteries and charged it and the vac is working fine again.
Surprised some people just throw out a $600 vacuum, would have been only a $20 fix for them, only had to take out 2 screws. I'll be keeping it for myself, alot quicker and far less cumbersome then my corded cannister vac.
